Farm & Agricultural
Security Built for Isolated Sites and Expensive Kit
A farm or smallholding is a difficult place to secure: buildings are spread out, there is rarely any passing traffic, and the kit worth stealing is often the kit that has to be left outside. Our farm and agricultural range concentrates on security that holds up without supervision.
Ground anchors and security chains fix machinery, quads and trailers to something immovable, while eye locks and tool locks secure chainsaws, strimmers and groundscare equipment that would otherwise walk. For access points we stock gate and fence hardware, field gate fittings and removable security posts, alongside wheel clamps for trailers and implements left standing in the yard.
Bulldog and SAS cover the locks, chains and anchors, with Burbage Iron Craft and Ready Made Gates supplying the gate and fence hardware.

What can I do about machinery that has to stay outside?
Anchor it. A ground anchor set into concrete, with a chain through the frame, turns a drive-away into a cutting job – which takes time, noise and tools a thief would rather not need. For anything on wheels, add a clamp so it cannot simply be rolled onto a trailer.
Can a ground anchor be fitted where there is no concrete?
It depends on the anchor. Bolt-down types need a solid slab; others are made to be set into fresh concrete or driven into hardcore. Fitting a bolt-down anchor into soft ground makes it worse than useless, so tell us the surface and we will tell you what suits it.
How do I secure a quad or ATV?
Chain it to something immovable rather than to itself. Quads are light enough for two people to lift into a van, so a chain through the frame to a fixed anchor matters more than a lock on the machine. A wheel clamp is worth adding if it stays out.
What secures chainsaws and smaller equipment?
Tool locks. They fit around the bar or body of the tool and lock it to a rack or anchor point, which covers the kit most likely to disappear from an open barn or a trailer. There are different patterns for chainsaws, strimmers and blowers – see equipment and specialist locks.
Can a field gate be secured against being lifted off its hinges?
Yes, and it is worth doing – a gate padlocked shut can still be lifted clear. Hanging the top hinge pin pointing downwards, or fitting an anti-lift bracket, stops that. The fittings sit alongside the latches and fasteners in our gate and fence hardware.
Is there anything for fuel and diesel storage?
Yes – a fuel tank lock covers the filler on a tank or bowser, which is the usual point of entry. It is a different fitting from a padlock and hasp, and is worth pairing with a chain if the tank itself is portable enough to be taken whole.
